Television Technology Triumph @ Doncaster South

Doncaster South CLC has further enhanced its reputation for groundbreaking Technological development within Education.

The Summer break, gave the CLC the opportunity to push ahead with it’s latest venture. The TV Studio is the only one of its kind in the area, and has been primarily designed to cater for all pupils and learners from Primary through to Further Education across all areas of the Curriculum. This exciting new facility has also been constructed with the versatility to accommodate professional production work, and is available for such projects when not in use for Educational purposes.

The Studio, due to officially open on 23^rd October, has already enjoyed its first clientele – both Educational and Professional – and has an increasingly busy schedule of events and projects catering for groups from areas all across the curriculum.

Curriculum Manager, Damian Ward said, of the new facility “The Studio is ideally designed for flexible learning for 14-19 yr olds and even younger. Indeed within our first week, Year 7’s and Year 6’s have been deployed with specific studio job roles. Recently the studio has also been used in a Professional context to produce educational videos.

The studio will also fulfil its potential as a classroom of the future due to its capability to integrate with new developments throughout the Borough, such as Video On Demand (VOD), ‘teachers.tv’, ‘doncaster.tv’ and other related projects.”
